Purpose: The Count highlights ongoing monitoring of sockeye salmon and salmon habitat that is vital to the Lake Clark region and southwest Alaska. In addition to regular screenings in the Lake Clark NPS visitor center, the film is primarily viewed on digital outlets for virtual visitor center audiences, distance-learning classrooms, and partner organizations.
Summary: A short educational and interpretive film created with the National Park Service. Sockeye salmon are a critical part of the Lake Clark story. Through ongoing monitoring and a variety of research projects, park scientists have been able to track the population and gain key insights into the lives of Lake Clark's sockeye salmon.
